This was built to evaluate methods of searching masses of map data very quickly. The database isn't complete (Russia is a notable exception!) but contains about 210 countries and 30 US states.

The map data is about 16 years old so I'm afraid places like Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia and Zaire still exist, sorry.
